Ben Affleck is the New Batman in the Sequel of 'Man of Steel'

A month after Warner Bros. greenlighted the “Superman vs Batman” movie as sequel to “Man of Steel,” the film outfit announced on Friday that Ben Affleck will play the role of the Dark Knight. Ending weeks of speculation, Ben Affleck has been set to star as Batman, a.k.a. Bruce Wayne. Affleck and filmmaker Zack Snyder will create an entirely new incarnation of the character in Snyder’s as-yet-untitled project—bringing Batman and Superman together for the first time on the big screen and continuing the director’s vision of their universe, which he established in “Man of Steel.” The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Amid the continuing rehabilitation of affected areas in the country devastated by typhoon Maring and Habagat, "On The Job" (OTJ) stars will delight Kapamilyas nationwide tomorrow (August 22) through simultaneous mall shows and symposia. I n Pampanga, Piolo Pascual will join the symposium at Angeles University Foundation (3pm), and mall show at Marquee Mall Pampanga (5pm). In Cebu, Gerald Anderson and Dawn Jimenez will be at Cebu Normal University (3pm), SM Cebu (4pm), and SM Consolacion (6pm). Brilliante Mendoza  ventures into a horror film - his very first horror film ever! It is a joint venture of Mendoza’s Centerstage Productions and Solar Films. Described in TIFF's official website as a "caustic cultural satire," the film starring Dennis Trillo will participate in the Vanguard section of the annual gathering along with 13 other international films. It is scheduled to premiere in September. Written by Henry Burgos, "Sapi" centers on a news team pressured to win back the audience share of its TV station. The three-man crew led by Trillo's character finds that "documenting an actual spiritual possession would be their only hope." According to TIFF's description of "Sapi," Mendoza aims to highlight the "moral failings of the contemporary news media" with the unfolding of the film's story.
