Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz: Former Rivals of the Valentines Movies, Now Lovers in One New Valentines Film!

Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz were dubbed as the "Queen and King of Valentines Movies" since the two big stars were the flavors of the big screen (with different partners) every month of the Hearts!

In terms of the Valentines box-office, the previous movies of Angel and John Lloyd were pitting one another! When Angel Locsin was still with the Kapuso network, she is GMA Film's Valentines top grosser! John Lloyd Cruz on the other hand is Star Cinema's answer to Kapuso.

Do you remember the battle between these two films before:

But look at them now:

Way back in February 2006, the movie of Angel Locsin (opposite Richard Gutierrez) called "I Will Always Love You" was pitted against the John Lloyd Cruz (with Bea Alonzo and Sam Milby) romance flick "Close to You." In terms of the box-office gross and movie reviews, can you still recall who between them won in the battle?!

As a former Queen of GMA-7, Angel Locsin is already hailed as the "Box-Office Queen of Valentines" as she led the different February movies of GMA Film each year namely "Let The Love Begin," "I Will Always Love You," and "The Promise." John Lloyd Cruz on the other hand is dubbed as the "Box-Office King of Romance Movies" as he breaks the box-office record with his films namely "One More Chance," "I Miss You Like Crazy," "All About Love," "Close to You," "You Changed My Life," "A Very Special Love," and "My Amnesia Girl."

It's really ironic to see that the former rivals were now lovers in one much-anticipated film from Star Cinema! And this is the romance-comedy flick "Unofficially Yours" which everyone is truly waiting for!

Yup, this is the very first tamdem of Angel and John Lloyd on the big screen after their smash hit TV series "Imortal." But this time in the movie, there's no more blood or fight scenes. Rather more flesh (as John Lloyd said that he showed more skins in the movie) and probably other type of fight (in bed - since it is more liberated!).

Angel and John Lloyd play the character of Ces and Maki in the movie. They were dealing with the so-called casual relationships in the story. But in the end, will they end up being 'officially' together?!

Once more, the box-office director Ms. Cathy Garcia Molina handles the directorial job for the movie! The film is really much different from the former movies directed by Cathy!

And talking about its theme song, Champions Erik Santos and Angeline Quinto made their own rendition of Celine Dion's original "If You Ask Me Too."

"Unofficially Yours" opens on cinemas tomorrow, February 15, 2012! Thanks that Ms. Angel Locsin returns on the Valentines Film together with John Lloyd Cruz because of this movie! We'll really watching it! Cool! c",)
