Nora Aunor To Return in the Country and will Play the Wife of Emilio Aguinaldo!
The Superstar Ms. Nora Aunor is preparing for her great comeback in showbiz after gone for almost a decade. And she is set to portray the character of Maria Agoncillo, the second wife of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo!
DZMM reporter Jobert Sucaldito via his radio showbiz talk show "Showbiz Mismo" confirmed the good news. Ate Guy already accepted the offer of playing the said role. Governor ER Ejercito who headed the said big movie project will also play the character of Emilio Aguinaldo!
In the said film, Ate Guy will play a 76-year old second wife of Gen. Aguinaldo. So expect an aging look of the superstar in this exciting historical movie.
Meanwhile, Ate Guy's daughter Matet De Leon even confirmed the return of the superstar. "One of these days, magugulat na lang tayong lahat, nandito na si Mommy,” Matet expressed!
Nora Aunor was last seen on ABS-CBN’s primetime teleserye “Bituin” in 2002. In the last movie that she made, “Naglalayag"(2004), she won Best Actress in both the Metro Manila Film Festival and Brussels Festival of Independent Films. She was even named as one of 10 Asian Best Actresses of the Decade by the Green Planet Movie Awards last 2010. c",)
