Hit Korean Rom-Com Movie 'My Little Bride' Airs on Cinema One

Korea’s second most popular film for 2004 and number four in the country’s top films of all time, the Tagalized version of “My Little Bride” will be airing on Cinema One’s Blockbuster Sundays movie block on June 9.

"My Little Bride" is a romantic comedy about arranged marriages. In the story, a 15-year-old high girl named Bo-Eun (Moon Geun-Young), experiences the usual issues of worrying about grades and dealing with teenage life. Bo-Eun has a crush on her school’s baseball team ace, Jung-Woo (Park Jin-Woo). One day, her grandfather tells Bo-Eun to marry a man named Sang-Min (Kim Rae-Won), because of a pact that he made during the Korean War with Sang-Min’s grandfather. The wedding pushes through despite the strong opposition of Bo-Eun.

The young girl's undercover married life begins. She pretends that she doesn’t have a husband in pursuit of the man that she was originally attracted to, Jung-Woo. Living a double life goes smoothly for her up until Sang-Min turns up at her school.

“My Little Bride” airs this Sunday (June 9) at 8:00 p.m. on Cinema One (SkyCable Channel 56), the Philippines’ number one cable channel.
