Angel Locsin Versus Angelica Panganiban in "One More Try" and Indie Flick "Di Ingon 'Nato" Premiere in Cinema One


 Mainstream cinema and digital film meet this Sunday  (October 27 ) as Cinema One airs the hit romantic drama movie “One More Try” produced by Star Cinema and Cinema One Originals’ horror film “Di Ingon ‘Nato” at  8PM and 10PM respectively.

“One More Try”starring Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes, Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo tells the story of a mother (Locsin) having a terminally ill son. She is forced to reconnect with her child’s estranged father (Dantes) for help. She wants to have another child by him, who can supply their dying child with bone marrow. This daunting process of saving their son, on the other hand, slowly affects and destroys their current relationships.

The heartbreaking film won six trophies from Metro Manila Film Festival 2012 including the Best Picture Award. “There was a lot of tension and it kept rising,” said Rappler’s Carljoe Javier.


Meanwhile, “Di Ingon ‘Nato” (Not Like Us), a zombie film starring Rez Cortez, Mercedes Cabral and Franco Reyes, revolves around a remote mountain village in Cebu, wherein a farmer will commit murder, a young doctor will lose her first patient, and a barangay captain will find a girl brutally murdered in  a cemetery. The entire community will be drawn into mystery, which will be unraveled soon as horrific event will follow and they will have to rely on each other to survive.

“Di Ingon ‘Nato” gained positive reviews from the public. Editor of www.twitch film.com Todd Brown praised the film, which he described as “a very artistic twist on the zombie genre.”
